Materials to make your Glowing Ghosts

1. Art 'N Glow Epoxy Resin

2. Art 'N Glow Glow Pigment (we used Fluorescent Orange and Green)

3. Art 'N Glow Artist's Torch

4. Art 'N Glow 9LED UV Flashlight (optional)

5. Spooky silicone mold of your choice

6. 8 oz + 16 oz cups

7. Drill + small driver bit

8. Gloves

9. Stirring utensil (i.e. popsicle sticks)

10. Scissors

11. Black marker or paint pen

12. Base for your wall hanging (We used a big cool stick!)

13. Scrap fabric (long, for strips)

14. Durable string or cord

Step-By-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prepare your workspace. First, gather your Art 'N Glow resin, Glow Powders, silicone mold, torch, mixing cups, stir sticks, and gloves.

Step 2: Pour equal parts of resin and hardener in a 1:1 ratio (by volume, not weight!) into each of your mixing cups. Mix the resin and hardener for about 5 minutes, ensuring you scrape the sides and the bottom edges to ensure thorough blending.

Step 3: Add your Glow Powder and stir until fully blended.

(Tip: Usually, we recommend  7 grams of glow powder per fluid oz. of your medium for the brightest and longest-lasting glow in your project. Feel free to experiment with different ratios if desired.)

Step 4: Pour your mixed-up Glow Resin into the silicone molds and let it cure for 24 hours. Repeat this process as many times as needed to create the desired number of little ghosties!

Step 5: Pop the ghosts out of the molds. Once you've made them all, use a black paint pen or a Sharpie to draw the little ghost faces on each of them.

Step 6: Retrieve your drill and install a skinny driver bit. Carefully drill a hole from one side of the ghost toward the top, going straight through to the other side (from ghost ear to ghost ear). Ensure you use proper power tool techniques and wear eye protection.

Step 7: After drilling and cleaning up, take your string and thread it through the drilled holes in the ghosts. Double-knot it above their heads and leave a long end for hanging the ghosts.

Step 8: With your dark scrap fabric, start cutting or tearing it into long strips, each at least 3 feet long. You can trim these to your liking later.

Step 9: Using the stick as a base for your wall hanging, tie your string hanger to the top on either side and secure it. Then, begin tying all of your fabric strips so they hang down, creating a look similar to a macramé wall hanging.

Step 10: Grab your ghosts and start tying them onto the base stick in between your fabric strips at your desired lengths, ensuring you mix and match the colors as you like.

Step 11: Now, charge up your wall hanging with a UV light and/or direct sunlight. Take your creation to a dark room and test it out. Voila! You've now created your very own Glow-in-the-Dark Spooky Halloween Ghost Party Wall Hanging!
